1. Automatic EXIF & GPS Stripping
When you or your guests snap photos using Rollup (either in the mobile browser or native app), our automated processing pipeline immediately sanitizes all EXIF metadata. This strips all GPS latitude, longitude, altitude, and device hardware identifiers before photos are stored.
2. Guest Data & No-Account Browsing
Guests can join rolls and capture photos without creating an account or providing an email address. Guest session tokens and display names are stored locally on the guest's device to attribute author names to snapped photos within the specific event roll.
3. Photo Visibility & Roll Access
Photos captured in a roll are only accessible to attendees who hold the event invite code or QR pass. Hosts may configure rolls as "Shared Album" (visible to all attendees once revealed) or "Host-Only" (visible exclusively to the event creator).
4. Data Retention & Deletion
Event hosts retain full ownership of their event rolls. Hosts can permanently delete their rolls, photos, or master archives at any time through the Rollup app. You can also request complete account and data removal via our Account Deletion Page.
